Jewelry
My love of jewelry started when I was a teenager and loved to go shopping with my mom. My mother and I would go to the most exclusive jewelry stores and looked at all the jewelry designers in all of the departments. Since we didn’t have the means for most of this merchandise, we would try to emulate the styles by making our own jewelry. I was tuned into the jewelry design and materials used in each piece. In high school, I took every art class that was offered and studied at San Diego State as an art minor.
I have lived in Encinitas with my husband for the past 33 years, Since I am retired from teaching, I now have the time to be creative and work on my jewelry craft. I work with wire wrapping techniques in sterling silver, silver plate, gold plate, and gold filled and use many different gem stones, especially with pearls, in my pieces. They are all unique and one-of-a-kind. I still am studying art design and keep up to date with jewelry trends as they appear on the market!
